NHS Blood & Transplant Service
NHS Blood and Transplant wanted a promotional gift to give to donors to show appreciation for giving blood. After much consultation the NHS BT decided they wanted to produce a ‘Billy Blood Drop’ soft beanie toy.
As a contracted supplier for promotional products to the NHS BT, Get Yourself Noticed was excited to work with the procurement team on this project and were tasked with designing, sourcing and manufacturing a large number of the bespoke soft toys.
We produced a number of designs for the bespoke soft toy and when the artwork was approved by the procurement team we arrange a number of pre-production samples to be produced before final production to ensure the client was happy with the product quality. We produced a number of samples with different fabric types, all PantoneTM matched to the exact Pantone red specified by the Brand Guidelines, and with a range of embroidery options, again complying with the specifics of the NHS BT brand guidelines. In addition to this we also had to ensure the branded soft toys complied with stringent EN71 toy safety guidelines and specific labelling requirements.
Once the procurement team signed off their preferred pre-production sample option, the main production run was then produced and the final consignment delivered to the customer to multiple addresses throughout the UK. The team were delighted with the bespoke branded soft toy that exceeded their expectations .
CADW
As part of promoting a number of Historic Castles in Wales, Cadw wanted to produce a range of high quality promotional merchandise branded with different Castle designs to sell in the Souvenir Gift Shops.
As a long standing contracted supplier to the Welsh Government, Get Yourself Noticed was delighted to be selected as the supplier of the branded gifts for Cadw’s Souvenir shops.
Our Senior Key Account Manager met with Cadw to present a number of ideas and samples of bespoke merchandise specifically targeted at retail. The meetings helped narrow down the product range from which we were able to put together a quote on the selected gift ideas. To support the quote and help Cadw visualise the end result our design team created line drawings of the famous Castles from official photographs. We were then able to produce virtual samples of the drawing printed onto the range of selected products.
Once all the artwork was approved we placed the order into production. To fulfil Cadw’s requirement we have to collate and distribute the stock to the different Castle sites across Wales. Cadw can easily re-order their bespoke gifts to replenish stock for the Souvenir shops across a number of different sites from their internal purchasing system.
Department for Work and Pensions
This project came about after winning a tender for the supply of promotional merchandise for the DWP throughout the UK. We developed the idea with the client for use with their internal staff performance training courses. The product comprised a bespoke lanyard with a built in USB drive pre-loaded with all relevant documents and presentations applicable to the course. There was also a clip for securing security ID, and a safety break for H&S purposes.
The lanyard was manufactured in Pantone colour matched material exactly matched to the PMS Purple specified within the DWP Brand Guidelines. This was then screen printed 2 Pantone colours with the organisation’s logo and information onto the lanyard, along with a further tampo (pad) print onto the plastic clip housing the USB flash-drive. This all had to comply with the exacting brand guidelines presented by the DWP Purchasing Team.
In addition to developing a new product and adhering to stringent branding guidelines, this project also presented a number of other challenges to our sourcing and admin teams:
- Involved handling sensitive and confidential data files for pre-load onto the USB storage
- Involved complying with all WEEE requirements
- A very short lead time available for development, implementation and completion of this project (3 weeks from initial enquiry to completion of delivered products to the training course)
Bespoke CSA Thermal Mugs
The CSA commissioned Get Yourself Noticed to produce a particular style of thermal mug for internal use with their staff. The brief was fairly complex, and involved the final thermal mug being of a certain weight, and produced to a specific budget per unit.
Additional challenges were provided by a complex 5 spot colour print wrapping around the mug. Considerable effort went into ensuring the safety of the mugs as they were to be used for hot drinks.
The CSA was also understandably keen to ensure that the provenance of the mug through the whole production process was independently audited to ensure ethical production practices were rigorously adhered to. All legislation and certification was overseen by Get Yourself Noticed.
The final consignment was delivered to 12 different offices throughout the UK. All the packaging and logistics were handled by Get Yourself Noticed.
Flying Start– Home Safety Packs
Flying Start is a Welsh Government funded Programme and is available in targeted areas supporting all families to give 0-3 year olds a Flying Start in life. The scheme aims to provide intensive support services for children aged 0-3 years old and their families. Flying Start looked to create bespoke packs for families with young children, to included items that would keep their little ones safe.
The items needed to be branded with the Flying Start logo to promote the work that they do and raise awareness of safety in the home.
The first task was to draw up an ideas list and source items, such as cupboard locks and room thermometers. Detailed visuals were then produced and the customer selected on the items they wished to go ahead with.
The items were then produced, collated and packed in house by our team and sent out to the corresponding address.
This order has lead to further orders for both safety packs and new baby packs for Flying Start Blaenau Gwent and the other areas of this organisation.
